Douglas Hart Specialist Eyewear provides a bespoke fitting service throughout the UK supplying high precision loupe and illumination systems to dental and medical surgeons, as well as to the aesthetic, jewellery and electronics industries.
Spectacle and head mounted loupes enable you to work in comfort, reducing back and neck pain and offer outstanding clarity of detail.
As independent opticians and loupe specialists, we advise on which system is best suited to your individual requirements and adapt the loupes, taking into account spectacle prescription, individual eye measurements, magnification and working distance.
We also supply and fit Carl Zeiss and Hoya prescription lenses to customers own spectacle frames throughout South Ayrshire in Scotland. The dispensing service is carried out at the customer's own home or work premises and will deliver substantial savings on these high quality lenses.
Douglas is a qualified Dispensing Optician with over 30 years experience in the optical industry. He is registered with the General Optical Council and the Association of British Dispensing Opticians.
Douglas started his career with J.Lizars Ltd in Glasgow, before taking up the post of Head Dispensing Optician at Kilgour Optometrists, Ayr in 1995. It was during his time in practice that he developed a keen interest in spectacle loupes and has since become a specialist in this field.
